Just like the many gems, the small, fine specialties of our region: the rattling of the nostalgic Erzbergbahn, a hike to thousands and thousands of Edelweiss, a mine train ride in the manually re-exposed copper mine, golfing amidst impressive mountain scenery and the tranquil Eisenerzer Ramsau, which offers a beautiful fairytale landscape in all seasons.

Erzbergbahn - Europe's steepest standard gauge railway

Experience the steepest standard gauge railway in the EU! Originally built as a rack railway with steam locomotives to transport ore, the Erzbergbahn is one of the most beautiful railway routes in Austria. Today it runs as a museum railway with the blue vintage rail buses of the Erzbergbahn association from Vorderberg right up to the Erzberg!
